Can Neem and Honey Cure Cancer

Have you heard about the cancer villages that are mushrooming in China? It seems that it the direct result of breathing polluted air, drinking polluted water and eating polluted stuff. With so much of pollution in the environment people are starting to mutate at the genetic level which leads to cancer, birth defects and endless suffering to the common folk.

I recently read in an online magazine that gedunin can kill cancer cells. Oh! Please don’t think I am talking weird stuff. The gedunin is obtained from the Indian neem tree. The parts of the neem tree have been used since the ancient ages for treating various ailments. It is a natural remedy for malaria and has been used as an insecticidal agent. The gedunin may also be useful in the treatment of neurological disorders. Researchers found that geduin directly attaches itself to the helper proteins of the Hsp 90 and leads to its inactivation and thus kills cancer cells. The heat shock protein 90 plays a key role in helping the cells t…

Health Benefits of Lychees

There was a spooky house in our town which had lots of gorukalika trees. We were a bunch of crazy kids who used to climb on the walls and do all kinds of gymnastics to pluck the fruits much to the annoyance of our parents. Okay! I knew about gorukalika an Indian fruit and not about lychee. One of my friends introduced me to this lychee and after that the whole family got hooked up to this fruit.

This is a lovely fruit with a delicious taste. It belongs to the soapberry family. It originated in Southern China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. This lychee has a high content of vitamin C. Saturated fat, sodium and cholesterol is present in very less amounts. Lychee contains oligonol which has antioxidant properties. It helps to prevent and treat conditions such as diabetes, inflammation, influenza, insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome. Oligonol helps in weight loss and enhances the skin health.

The good thing about lychee is its vitamin C content. It contains 72mg of vitamin C per 100 grams…

Health Benefits of Almonds

February 16th was the Almond Day and I am a bit late in publishing this post. Sometimes it is better late than never. This post talks about the health benefits of almonds. Well almonds owe its existence to the Middle East.

Almonds make you smart. Now that’s a nice thing to know. They are rich in antioxidants and help you to think smarter. Almonds are rich in vitamin E. They help your skin look great. A handful of almonds help to maintain healthy cholesterol levels. They are rich in monounsaturated fatty acids and are quite heart friendly.

Almonds are rich in magnesium and potassium. Magnesium improves the flow of blood in arteries and veins. Potassium helps to maintain the normal blood pressure and functioning of the heart. Almonds have prebiotic properties that improve the digestive health. It increases the number of beneficial bacteria in the gut.

Can Sugar Really Heal Wounds

During our family outings, I will be always on tenterhooks and I hope all the mammas around the globe would agree with me. The kids love to run, not just run but with their heads looking high above the heavens. They do not see what is beneath down the earth. Their father yells not to run at the top of his voice, but they run and jump and skip. Then they trip and fall down, hurt the knee and cry and this cycle goes on.

So when I heard about this new research my joy knew no bounds. Daily mail reports that folk medicine from Africa may help to heal the wounds even after antibiotics have failed. The researcher grew up in Zimbabwe and had seen his father using sugar, yes! You got it right, plain white sugar crystals on wounds. This treatment was given to a person who underwent knee amputation and the left leg cavity would not heal effectively.

Within two weeks of the sugar treatment the wound began to heal quickly. Everyone was pleased, more than that it gave a morale boost to the patient wh…

Why Should you Check the Labelling of Food Products

Healthy Red Coloured Fruits for This Valentine's Day

It is the time of the year when the air is filled with the preparations for the Valentine’s Day. There are voices from some quarters saying that this special day has become commercialised to a great extent. Whatever be the case let me tell you that, you should love yourself unconditionally to give the love back to the universe. This is not being selfish, it means you should feel happy within yourself and becoming self-sufficient to care for others.

Since this is a beautiful time I broke my head to find a topic that suits it. Red coloured fruits can work wonders for your heart. Let us discuss about rasp berries, strawberries, red grapes, hawthorn berries and pomegranates. Making healthy food choices for your family is the best gift that you can give them instead of the silver and gold, and do not forget the platinum.

There is a growing interest among the scientific community to study the action of raspberries on obesity. By increasing the enzyme activity, oxygen consumption and heat prod…

Health Benefits of Olive Leaf Extract

In the UAE a grand festival called the Global Village usually takes place in the winter months. Traders from various countries come and sell their goods. This year in the Greece pavilion, olive oil obtained from trees which are 2000 years old are being sold like hot cakes. This extra virgin oil which is cold pressed is obtained from the seaside town of Ermioni in Greece.

This post is about olive leaf extract and not about olive oil. Just to get your attention I told you the above story. Ha, ha! Well, olive leaf extract has an antioxidant capacity double than that of green tea extract and 400% higher than vitamin C. This finding made the world sit up and take note of olive leaf extract.

Olive tree is mentioned so many times in the Bible. It was also used by the ancient Egyptians. In what was named as twins’ trial scientists found that olive leaf extract lowers cholesterol and blood pressure in patients with mild hypertension.Oleuropein is the much famed component found in the extract. New Class of Antibiotics and Pain Killers From the Depths of Ocean

Do you believe in prophecies? I do!After I read the prophecy of 2012 by Dr. Paul Dinakaran of Jesus Calls ministry, I kept my ears and eyes wide open to see if any research study comes by. But I could not find any in 2012 but a research study caught my eye at the end of January 2013. I know you are getting more curious and let me explain. These were the prophetic words

“My grace shall come upon the Atlantic ocean where the depth of the sea shall bring forth great forms of life to sustain mankind in the realms of medicine especially in growing tissues for healing and health. He that hears my voice shall be careful to invest in it. Behold My Angel shall be seen when these are found in the ocean. My glory shall shine forth in them.”

A new research investigation done by the OSHU researchers in collaboration with several other institutions has found amazing scientific treasure in depths of the ocean. They say that the next class of pow…
