Nutritious, Easy to Prepare Summer Salads at Your Finger Tips

The summer has reared its blazing head in many parts of the globe. During the summer time it is wise to include foods that have plenty of moisture. Slogging in the kitchen during this time becomes quite hard. So try to include some simple, easy to prepare main course dishes along with plenty of salads.

To do my part I tried some really simple summer salads. They are super easy and you can make it in a jiffy using the ingredients present in your home. Regarding the taste, I can guarantee you it is delicious. Because they have been experimented, guess who the experimental rat was? It was my son, because he acts invisible if he sees any fruits or veggies.

So I made these salads and asked him to eat, it was heartwarming to see him relishing these salads. Including salads frequently in your diet increases the antioxidant levels of vitamin C, vitamin E, lycopene, and alpha and beta carotene.

Salads reduce the risk of dreadful diseases such as cancer. Salads increase the feeling of fullness and help with weight loss. They increase the availability of smart fats such as olive oil, avocado and nuts. So play with your imagination and create earth shattering salads and stun your family and friends.

Apple Salad
Just slice apples, add salt, chili powder, lemon juice and parsley.

Spinach Salad
This is a traditional Indian salad. Clean the greens, add pieces of onion, a pea sized tamarind, three pods of garlic, two green chilies in a thick bottomed pan, simmer it until it becomes cooked, it might take 2 to 3 minutes. Then mash it in a blender. Season it with mustard, dhals and red chilies. Add salt according to your taste. It tastes good with rice.

Mango Salad

Slice mangoes, add lime juice, chili flakes, salt and a dash of mint.

Olive salad
Wash olives, add salt, lemon juice, parsley, onion and crushed garlic. Drizzle a teaspoon of olive oil. Add a little mint to pep up the taste.

Plum salad

Cut the plums, add lemon juice, salt and chili powder. Garnish with mint and parsley.

Grape salad

This tastes divine, add salt, lemon juice, chili powder and garnish with coriander leaves. You can also add crushed fresh pepper corns.

As you see these are very easy to prepare. You can prepare these salads, even after a hectic day at the office. The main idea of this post is to make healthy cooking user friendly and tasty. Hope you will enjoy trying this out.
