Health Benefits of African Black Soap

I came to know about the Black soap from the African Pavilion in Global village, a yearly shopping festival. We were buying organic shea butter from one of the shops there. The shop keeper took a pack of 6 soaps, handed it to us and said to try it.
As per her word the soap is amazing. It makes your skin, soft, supple and moisturized. It has a rich, creamy lather. Above all it keeps your skin hydrated for long hours.
It is made of secret recipe containing all natural things. The secret recipe is handed down for generations. The soap is made of locally harvested African plants.
Wikipedia says

Next, they add water and various oils and fats, such as coconut oil palm oil, and shea butter, cook the mixture until it solidifies, and hand-stir it for at least 24 hours.
